No silly, no job for me. I mean that I am finally getting caught up on the house mess. Inside and out.
I thought that I should hire out someone to help me clean out the back yard. Since it is a little warm outside, we haven't been using it and therefore, don't see the mess that is out there. I know what you are thinking....she is near a big city, there must be a ton of day laborers that are looking for work....and you would be right BUT I didn't use them. I birthed the ones that I hired.
I started thinking about what my wise father always says "Too much good treatments". Yeah I know it doesn't directly apply and for those of you who know the line, you know that it is his uncle and not his but that is besides the point. It also got me thinking about how little my kids have to do and how much I had to do when I was younger. (did you read the previous post on the strawberry patch?)
So I told them the only thing we had to do today when they got home from school was to clean up the backyard....AND....since it was such a big job, I would quadruple their normal per chore rate.
Yes you read right.....QUADRUPLE.....am I a great mom or what?!?! We are also having a party with some of their friends tomorrow as it is the last day my daughter will be a 4th grader and my son a 1st grader. I am super excited except I really have to get the house cleaned up now before the kids see the mess!!!
(I think my a.d.d. has spread to my blogging as I totally went off tangent)
Oh yeah, good mom.....quadruple....So I employed my little helpers and the back yard looks FABULOUS! And all it cost me was a grand total of $2. Beat that!
