sleeping in: round two

Whooo hoooo!!!! I slept in a little today. That is unusual since when I am stressed I either can't sleep at night, wake up before God or both. The days that it is both, I am loads of fun as you can imagine. Although I have been handling this move pretty well I think. I tend not to over react like someone I married. John often asks how come I am not more upset or worried or __________ (fill in adjective here) and I just tell him that I don't have to, he is enough for both of us. He is my ying and I am his yang...he completes me...or whatever vomit producing statement you can put there.

I do have to say, that I very much (at times) appreciate his ability to speak his mind. I thought him and our realtor were going to throw down WWF style last night (and yes, I am well aware that it is WWE now but I am a product of the 80's and was a worthy opponent of my brother (Ha!) so it will forever be WWF). I almost popped a bowl of popcorn, plopped down in the lazy boy with my feet up to watch the festivities begin!

The point of conflict? Our ugly ass yellow counter tops. She thinks it would be best if we replaced them and John likes his money in his pocket. She thinks it would be best if we tiled on top of them a darker tile and John likes his money in his pocket. She thinks it is a compromise if we replace the counter tops and then tile the backsplash and John likes his money in his pocket.

Me? What do I think?

I think I have watched enough episodes of Designed to Sell that I can replace my counter tops in an afternoon and have time to paint my nails afterwards.
