This waiting thing sucks

Patience has never been one of my strong attributes. I know this and I deal with it. It's the others around me who can't deal with it ;-)

So my application is in, personal references in (and pd for), and my personal statement was thoughtfully written. Thoughtful and quite clear if you ask me. I will recreate my statement here:

Please pick me for graduate school so I can teach lots leaky and whiny kids lots of things. I know my grades suck so tell me with whom I have to sleep with in order to get in. I promise not to sue when I start to teach and end up becoming an alcoholic after having to deal with them day in and day out. I also want my summers off. Thanks for your consideration.

Really I don't know how the president himself hasn't come out to my house and personally congratulated me.
