The best husband eva!

So the tables have definitely turned since we moved to AZ. It is becoming increasingly rare that I clean up the kitchen after dinner and back in MA. I don't think John knew how the dishes got from the dirty state that he left them in to back in the cupboard spotless. Amazing how that happens. Well since we moved I sometimes help him out but generally John cleans the kitchen, loads the dishwasher and empties it. Sometimes all in the same night. I know! Crazy!

On the flip side, I do everything else (just like always) but somewhere along the line, it became my responsibility to mow the lawn and do weed control. I don't mind the mowing part but I seriously don't like weeding and have issues from the past that creep up. I remember having to spend all day in the strawberry patch that was growing on the side of our house pulling every single weed that Mom/Dad could see. When I say all day, I am not exaggerating either. Every now and again Mom would have Danny turn the hose on me and tell me to open up so I wouldn't dehydrate and very rarely she would toss a piece of bread from her lounge chair by the pool and that was what she called lunch.* So I got to listen to her, Danny and all the neighborhood friends have fun splashing in the pool while I picked weeds in a garden that was the size of a football field. Eventually I would get done but you see why I might have issues with this.

I mentioned it to John and do you know what he said (and I swear this part is true)......he said (and I am quoting) "hire a lawn boy and have him work naked". Is he not the bestest husband evah! I think having a naked lawn boy would be hilarious....and possibly a tad bit frightening. We have a few weeds that need to be picked (there is a visual for ya!)

So to all the ladies out there....read it and weep....cause he is all mine. ** Brings a tear to your eyes, no?

*Parties mentioned above have not had their name changed for privacy purposes and may have a different recollection of how the events occurred but this is my blog, not theirs.
** If you come up with a good trade, I am not saying I wouldn't listen.
